We return to Asia’s largest conference on corrosion

We are proud to return as a Gold Supporter of CORCON 2025 (October 6–8, Jaipur), India’s premier conference on corrosion science, technology, and solutions. For decades, this event has brought together global experts, industries, and researchers to address one of the most pressing challenges for India’s energy and industrial future.

This year, conversations around corrosion are timelier than ever. From refinery reliability to infrastructure safety, India continues to face growing costs due to corrosion-related failures, highlighting the urgent need for advanced materials and innovative solutions.

At CORCON 2025, we will present our latest research and case studies, focusing on two standout innovations:

  • Sanicro® 35 – A breakthrough super-austenitic stainless steel bridging the gap between stainless steels and costly nickel alloys, delivering superior resistance in aggressive environments.
  • SAF™ 3006 – A next-generation duplex stainless steel designed to extend service life and reduce total cost of ownership in highly corrosive and demanding applications.

Our presentations:

🗣️ Overcoming Corrosion Challenges in Chemical and Petrochemical Equipment: The Role of Advanced Alloy UNS N08935 (Sanicro® 35)

By Jyoti Shankar Jha, Associate Lead Scientist, & Ganesh Prasad, Technical Marketing Specialist, Alleima India

October 7, 14:00-16:00, Corrosion in Petrochemical, Refineries and Fertilizer Industry – 2, Hall C

This presentation focuses on Sanicro® 35 (UNS N08935), a super-austenitic stainless steel developed as a cost-effective alternative to nickel alloys. It highlights both lab corrosion testing and real-world case studies where Sanicro® 35 outperformed traditional materials (like stainless steel, titanium, Alloy 400, and Alloy C-276). Its use in refinery, chemical, and renewable fuel applications significantly extends service life while reducing the total cost of ownership.

🗣️ Failure Analysis of Painted Hydraulic & Instrumentation Tubing UNS S31603 in an LNG Terminal and Metallurgical Solutions

By Jyoti Shankar Jha, Associate Lead Scientist, & Fadi Alsaifi, R&D Engineer, Alleima

October 7, 16:30-18:00, Corrosion in Oil and Gas Sector – 2, Hall D

This talk examines the failure of painted 316L (UNS S31603) H&I tubing at an LNG terminal due to external corrosion. Through detailed failure analysis and microstructural studies, the session demonstrates why TP316L, the existing construction material with the applied protective coating, proved inadequate and unsuitable for the service environment. It also presents sustainable alternative solution options to enhance long-term reliability.

Beyond technical insights, we’ll also showcase applications across heat exchangers (HX), high-temperature (HT) tubes, and hydraulic & instrumentation (H&I) tubing, reflecting our commitment to safer, more sustainable, and more reliable operations.

Fill out the form to get in touch. We look forward to engaging with you at the event, because tackling corrosion isn’t just about solving technical challenges; it’s about securing India’s industrial growth for the future. See you there!

India’s energy future needs stronger materials

India’s energy landscape is undergoing a transformative shift, driven by rapid industrialization, urbanization, and a commitment to sustainable development. With energy consumption rising steadily, recording a 7.8% increase in FY 2023 to 2024, the nation is expanding its energy infrastructure across traditional and renewable sources.

Pushing the possibilities for the refinery and petrochemical industries

The refineries, petrochemical, and chemical process industries face some of the most severe corrosion challenges for construction materials. Advanced material technologies can play a crucial role in accelerating industrial processes by solving corrosion problems.
