U.S. supply. Broad choice. Tubing you can specify with confidence.

When hydraulic and instrumentation (H&I) tubing is needed, availability matters as much as material performance.

Alleima supports customers across North America with a broad portfolio of stainless steel and high-alloy H&I tubing, produced in the U.S. and backed by local stock, technical expertise and responsive customer support.

From standard grades to materials for more demanding requirements, we help engineers, procurement teams, OEMs, EPCs and project managers source tubing that meets the specification, the schedule and the realities of the North American market.

With U.S.-based production at our Scranton, Pennsylvania tube mill—serving customers since 1972—our hydraulic and instrumentation (H&I) tubing is manufactured domestically and available in coils and straight lengths, supported by local stock and inventory. This enables greater control over lead times, delivery and supply continuity, with lead times typically half or less than imported alternatives.

From oil and gas and chemical processing to emerging sectors like data centers and hydrogen, Alleima delivers a broad H&I portfolio, reliable U.S. supply, and hands-on technical support to keep your operations moving.

U.S. capability in practice

For our North American customers, ‘Made in the USA’ means more than origin. It is about practical supply confidence: local production, available stock, shorter lead times and support from a team close to the market, with an understanding of regional requirements and operating challenges.

Beyond standard grades. Ready for real-world requirements.

H&I tubing requirements vary by application, environment and specification. Standard grades have their place, but some applications need more: higher alloy content, stronger corrosion resistance, tighter control or greater supply confidence.

Alleima’s H&I portfolio gives customers access to stainless steel and high-performance alloy tubing across a broad range of requirements, helping reduce compromise between specification, availability and performance in service.

The range reflects Alleima’s long history of materials development, from duplex and super-duplex grades to advanced alloys such as Sanicro® 35, with many now available as instrumentation tubing.

Our materials make the difference. Our expertise makes it work

Our range of advanced hydraulic and instrumentation materials for America includes:

304/304L

A reliable stainless steel option for general H&I applications and standard corrosion requirements.

Alleima® 3R65 / 316L

A proven 316L grade for applications requiring stronger corrosion resistance than 304L.

Alleima® 3R60

A higher-alloyed 316L option with high nickel and minimum 2.5% molybdenum for enhanced corrosion resistance and material confidence.

Alleima® 3R64 / 317L

A high-molybdenum grade for improved resistance to general and pitting corrosion compared with 316L.

Sanicro® 41 / Alloy 825

A nickel alloy for sour, chloride-bearing and acidic environments.

SAF® 2507

A super-duplex stainless steel for high-strength performance in highly corrosive conditions, especially offshore. Compliant with NORSOK.

Alleima® 254 SMO

A high-alloy stainless steel developed for seawater and aggressive chloride-bearing media. Compliant with NORSOK.

Sanicro® 35

A high-performance alloy for seawater and highly corrosive environments, combining corrosion resistance with high strength.

Setting a higher standard

Many hydraulic and instrumentation tubes may look alike. The difference is often in the details: tolerance, hardness, chemistry, ovality, finish and traceability.

Some tubes meet the standard. Alleima is focused on setting a higher standard within the standard, with tighter control where it matters most.

For example, ASTM A269 permits an outer diameter tolerance of +/- 0.13 mm. The equivalent Alleima tube allows just +/- 0.08 mm, reducing total possible variation and supporting greater precision and consistency.

Alleima also supports demanding requirements around chemical composition, hardness, surface finish and traceability, helping customers specify tubing with confidence across a wide range of H&I applications.

For ASTM 316L, Alleima® 3R60 can be supplied to max HRB 80, compared with the ASTM maximum of HRB 90. This supports tubing that is strong while remaining easier to grip and bend.

Technical advantages include:

  • tighter dimensional tolerances
  • controlled chemical composition
  • hardness control
  • surface finish requirements
  • ovality control
  • consistency and traceability
  • support with demanding specifications
